RARE 1940s or possibly early 1950s black satin and red fringe two piece burlesque or showgirl costume set. This amazing retro set appears to be hand sewn. The set is lined with muslin, and the fitted cropped top has a metal zipper at the front with a red bow, and little capped sleeves. The bottoms are very high waisted, have elastic around the legs, and a side metal zipper.

Condition: excellent minus. The fringe is silghtly faded, the lining although not seen, has some yellowing to it, and one of the underarms has a small hole on the seam, one tear in the seam on the right side of the pants. Both are repairable. See photos for details.
