The Badalassi Carlo Tannery's Minervaleather is one of our favorites. This boutique Italian tannery specializes invegetable tanning. During the process, the leather is placed in a 'Bottali,' a large barrel thatrotates, allowing the organic tanningsubstances to stay in contact with the article. A complete cycle may take 30 - 35 days. The result is a vibrant leather with transparency and depth.

The leather can have prominent vampbreaks and a variation ofcolors. Since this is a light-colored vegetable-tanned article, areas on the boot may have darker hues.
